Out and About – Adaptive Sports Expo & Star Wars Exhibit

The Adaptive Sports Fair in Long Beach offers handicapped individuals the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports like baseball, basketball, field hockey, offering them a chance to enjoy the sport of competition like everyone else. Then join us at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley to find out how a pop culture phenomenon of the late seventies inspired the political climate of the nineteen eighties. “Defending America & the Galaxy: Star Wars and SDI” features authentic props and costumes from the popular feature films, while exploring President Reagan’s Strategic Defense Initiative and how this once lofty idea helped to bring an end to the Cold War.
